The mission of the Health Ministry is to emphasize the importance of the relationship between faith and health issues. This ministry allows the church to take more seriously its role of healing by enabling better understanding and better cooperation within the congregation and the community. Music Ministry

The mission of the Mount Anna Baptist Church Music Ministry is to lead its congregants in an expressive holistic worship through vocal and instrumental music within a lyrical context of Luke 4:18, 19.

“The spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.”

In that context, the music ministry will:

  • Seek to operate under the anointing (equipping power of the Holy Spirit).
  • Sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs that are structurally based.
  • Minister to the needs of the congregation and ministry members.
  • Remain Christ-centered in the decorum and lifestyle.
  • Work collaboratively with the pastor, church leadership, and other ministries to create a spiritually inspired place of dynamic worship.
  • Strive for excellence in service.

The Music Ministry consists of four choirs that meet the diversity and needs of the congregation: Senior (Adult) Choir, Gospel Choir, New Spirit Choir (Youth & Young Adults), and Male Chorus. A praise team ensemble along with gifted keyboardists, drummers, and guitarists complete the spirit-filled aggregate of over 100 members.
